News, Happenings, and Whatever Other Junk

Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeey.

If you're reading this right now, all I have to say is... wow. It's shocking to me that anyone still comes around to this site, over three years since the last comic. I know most people gave up hope a long time ago, but there's still a handful of you that still wait for that next comic. Either you're all completely misguided or I'm just that awesome. Maybe a combination of the two. But either way, I wanted to express my appreciation. I may have abandoned this project a long time ago but some of you didn't.

Why did I give up, anyway? It was a lot of reasons. Part of it was that I started getting busy and had less time. But frankly, I just kinda grew out of it. I started this comic when I was 16 and what appealed to me back then wasn't doing it for me anymore. The Metroid series in general was losing my interest as well (for which I actually blame the community. Not you guys so much, but a lot of the Metroid fans out there were a bunch of pretentious, stuck-up cocks and that just ruined it for me).

But lately I've been thinking about this comic again. Not a lot, but it started nagging at the back of my mind again. I think it's always bothered me how I stopped production on such a cliffhanger and never saw it through properly. But it's been so long since I've done one of these that any storyline ideas had long since left my head. So I just kept ignoring it.

Until tonight. I was bored, and for whatever reason I started reading through the archives again. I have to admit that a lot of those earlier ones were pretty horrible, but there are still a few gems in there. Reading the strips brought me back to 2005 and put me in a nostalgic mood. And I decided, "You know what? Fuck it. I'm going to write a new strip."

Besides, it was either this or laundry. And I hate laundry.

So enjoy this batch of strips I whipped up. I'm not going to make any promises that more will be forthcoming, but who knows. If you feel like contacting me, feel free to email me at savageboredom@gmail.com (ironically in the years since I quit this site I've adopted actually savageboredom as my default online alias).

Thanks for sticking around guys.

PS: I hope I still remember how to update all of the site mechanics. If something's not working right, let me know.
